
Financial Advisor/Planner
Job Description:
An expanding wealth management company is looking for a Financial Advisor/Planner. The individual will be responsible for implementing strategies for clients in insurance coverage, estate planning, investment planning, retirement planning and other insurance-related areas to help clients reach their financial objectives.
Duties:
FINANCIAL PLANNING
- Advising clients on informed and insightful financial planning strategies
- Review clients insurance portfolios
- Preparing and presenting insurance solutions to clients
LIFE INSURANCE
Provide licensed advisory on the following life insurance:
- Life cover
- Disability
- Income Protection
- Severe illness
- Funeral benefit and
- Accidental cover
BUSINESS INSURANCE
Provide advisory and planning on:
- Keyperson Insurance
- Buy & SELL agreements
INVESTMENT
Provide advisory and planning on:
- Endowments
- Tax-free saving
- Guaranteed Investments
- Flexible Investments
- CIS
RETIREMENT PLANNING
Provide advisory and planning on:
- Pre-retirement such as RA
- Pension transfers
- Preservation funds
- Post-retirement such as Life & Living annuity
GENERAL ADVISORY AND PLANNING
Provide advisory and planning on:
- Corporate Benefits
- Medical AID
- Short term insurance
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Maintain contact with current clients and check-in at least once per month
- Request at least two referrals from your current network
- Attend networking events and get names and details of potential clients
- Complete client quotes timeously
- At sales meetings with potential clients, pay attention to details to understand their needs and requirements. Strategize and bring in team members in other specialist fields to provide clients with a complete service
- Design customised proposal and present to each client
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience
- Minimum 120 FAIS credits or similar /Degree or Diploma in Economics or Finance
- RE 5
- Clear ITC and criminal record
